In my Multimedia class at Notre Dame, we were assigned the task of animating a word of our choice using Macromedia's Director. Heavily into boxing at the time, I chose "Box". I created a story board and imported simple bitmaps from Photoshop. I concentrated more on the animation and sound, especially timing the sound bits with the hits on the word. Using Sound Edit, I manipulated tracks from CDs and recorded the actual shuffling sound at boxing practice. Once the movie was completed with the functions in Lingo, it was exported as a Shockwave file for viewing on the web, as well as a Projector for use in desktop presentations.
